Applicable Standards

The QE-HUTM600 can be evaluated and configured for the following applications:

ASTM E8/E8M Tensile testing of metallic materials
ISO 6892-1 Metallic tensile testing at room temperature
ASTM A370 Applicable mechanical testing procedures for steel products
ASTM E290 Bend testing for ductility
ASTM E4 Force-system calibration and verification
ISO 7500-1 Calibration and verification of static tension/compression testing machines
ASTM E83 / ISO 9513 Extensometer calibration and verification

Compliance requires the correct specimen geometry, fixtures, loading rates, measurement accessories, software method and verification. ASTM A370 also includes tests requiring separate equipment.

Test Capabilities

Test or Property Configuration Requirements
Tensile strength Suitable grips and initial specimen cross-sectional area
Maximum and breaking force Correct fixture and verified force range
Yield and proof strength Appropriate extensometer and analysis method
Elongation Defined gauge length and method-specific measurement
Elastic modulus Suitable verified strain measurement and alignment
Compression testing Correctly aligned, load-rated platens
Bend ductility Appropriate supports, mandrel and span
Fastener and assembly testing Purpose-designed, load-rated fixtures

Piston displacement is not equivalent to specimen elongation. Yield, proof strength and modulus measurements require the strain-measurement approach specified by the applicable test method.

QE-HUTM600 600 kN Electro-Hydraulic Servo Universal Testing Machine

Why Choose This Model?

High-Force Testing Capacity

The 600 kN capacity supports demanding metal and component tests. Specimen suitability is determined by expected test force, dimensions, grip compatibility and the governing test method.

Closed-Loop Servo Control

Computerized control of force, piston displacement and specimen deformation allows the loading method to be matched to the test requirements. Required loading rates and control transitions should be specified when selecting the system.

Hydraulic Specimen Gripping

Hydraulic clamping supports convenient specimen installation. Select the appropriate jaw inserts for round or flat specimens and the material being tested.

Separate Testing Spaces

The frame accommodates tensile testing and lower-space compression or bending configurations. Available clearance depends on the installed grips, platens and fixtures.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, provided the specimen fits the selected grips and test space, and its expected test force remains within the machine’s capacity. Grip diameter alone does not establish suitability.

Yes, with appropriate extensometry, specimen measurements and software settings. The required measurement method depends on the governing standard.

Yes, using appropriately rated compression platens or bend fixtures. Confirm the exact fixtures included in the quotation.

The published force measurement range begins at 12 kN. Lower-force testing requires a separately documented and verified measurement configuration.

The published information establishes a static/quasi-static testing platform, not a high-frequency fatigue system. Cyclic or long-duration testing requires a separate confirmed specification.
