QE-HTM Series Horizontal Tensile Testing Machines
The QE-HTM Series is a range of high-capacity, computer-controlled horizontal tensile testing machines designed for long, heavy and high-strength specimens that cannot be tested efficiently in a conventional vertical universal testing machine.
Available in capacities from 500 kN to 20,000 kN, these servo-hydraulic systems are suitable for tensile, proof-load, breaking-force and load-extension testing of wire ropes, steel cables, chains, lifting slings, prestressing tendons, anchor rods, structural connectors and complete industrial assemblies.
The horizontal configuration allows long specimens to be installed in a straight, controlled alignment without coiling or constructing an unusually tall test space. Standard working lengths from 500 mm to 8,000 mm are available, while extended test beds can be engineered for bridge cables, anchor chains, offshore mooring systems and other unusually long products.

How do I select the correct model?
Select a capacity above the maximum expected testing force while ensuring the required working range can be calibrated accurately. QMN will also review the specimen length, expected extension, end fittings, gripping method and applicable standard.

Yes. The computerized controller can apply a specified proof load, maintain that load for a programmed duration and record force and displacement throughout the test.
