The QE-CPI750 is a high-energy, computer-controlled pendulum impact testing machine for determining the absorbed impact energy of notched metallic specimens using the Charpy method.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a Charpy or Izod tester?
This configuration is designed for Charpy notched-bar testing of metals. It should not be advertised as an Izod tester unless an engineered Izod pendulum, fixture and verified method are specifically supplied.
Can it test sub-size Charpy specimens?
Yes. It supports 7.5 mm and 5 mm sub-size thicknesses when the correct centring fixtures and governing test procedure are used.
Is instrumented Charpy testing included?
Standard absorbed-energy measurement is included. Testing to ISO 14556 requires the optional instrumented striker, high-speed measurement hardware and compatible software.
Does the machine require anchoring?
Yes. A 750 J pendulum tester requires a stable, engineered installation. Floor capacity, anchoring, operating clearance and vibration conditions should be reviewed during site preparation.
